 The Pacific Rim

Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi |

To start with , this is a monsters v/s Human driven robot story full of combat and strategic skills .

There is a new aspect in this film. The human driven robots are totally connected to the two pilots driving a robot via their nervous system.

So in such a case , each of the two pilots have to deal with one another's memories or a traumatic experience of the past which they may face while in a combat with a monster. Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam, who apparently looks really hot in this film) who is an ace pilot is called back into the war b/w monsters v/s robots after a few years that he left the fights when his co-pilot and elder brother died while in a combat with a monster. Now it's quite a treat that these monsters which come into the surface , rise from the sea bed . There is some sort of a portal at the sea bed b/w an alien world and the human world. This portal is ultimately destroyed to cut off the link b/w the human world and the monster world.

Charlie Hunnam didnt want to go back into the war zone after loosing his brother. The loss was too big for him to deal with. He thought he will not be able to re-build that amount of trust and bond with another co-pilot. Later when in touch with Mako Mori ( Rinko Kikuchi) his trust and hopes re-surfaced. Mako in turn had lost her parents to the monsters. Over all this film has a lot of fight scenes between monsters and human driven robots, more than fights it has emotions and strive for putting the best foot forward . So to say it's a total treat for your eyes and for all the fans world wide for a sci fi alien based combat film. Also if you like strategic films , then this is an awesome treat. There are some of the most dangerous and ugly looking monsters in the film which is again quite enjoyable to watch . I would love to re-watch it 10 more times . It's a total weekend treat. So if you still haven't watched it , you should download and watch it ASAP. I would give this movie a 4/5  . I enjoyed this movie fully and the way they ride the bots, makes u wanna climb into the pilot seat and drive those ;-)   - Zinnia
